Union Pacific 844 passes through Atchison.

BNSF ES44DC 7695 - which carried the one-off yellow BNSF logo - leads a westbound parked at the Lawrence Depot.
Here's a shot of BNSF ES44C4 6771. Note that there is a "bumper sticker" indicating that it is a ES44AC - the difference between the two models is the fact that this unit has two fewer traction motors.
As part of replacing the Topeka Blvd. Bridge over the Kansas River, the intersection of Topeka Blvd. and 1st Street was re-configured from a grade seperated junction to a signalized intersection. There was a ramp from Northbound Topeka Blvd. to Westbound 1st in order to access Westbound I-70. Now, that movement is a left turn.
Here's a shot of my next door neighbor Elouise petting my old cat, Scott.
Here's another shot of Elouise with Scotty.
