History

When the US 69 bypass around Arma was established in 1960, the original plan was to withdraw the old alignment through Arma and to add a spur connecting the bypass to South Street. The spur carried the designation of K-222.

In late 1961, the State Highway Commission reversed course and chose to retain the old alignment as a bannered route. As a consequence, the spur was redundant, and was withdrawn in February of 1962.
