BEGINNING FRIDAY AFTERNOON…AND BRING PRECIPITATION TO MUCH OF
NORTH CENTRAL…NORTHEAST…AND EAST CENTRAL KANSAS FRIDAY NIGHT
THROUGH SATURDAY. A POLAR AIRMASS SINKING SOUTH THROUGH THE
CENTRAL PLAINS STATES WILL ALLOW LIGHT RAIN THIS AFTERNOON TO
TRANSITION TO SNOW FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST. A PERIOD OF MIXED
PRECIPITATION FEATURING RAIN…SNOW…AND SLEET IS ALSO POSSIBLE
ACROSS EAST CENTRAL KANSAS. A BAND OF HEAVY SNOW IS EXPECTED TO
SET-UP ALONG AN AXIS FROM NEAR COUNCIL GROVE TO NEAR LAWRENCE
FRIDAY NIGHT THAT WILL GRADUALLY SHIFT EASTWARD SATURDAY. THERE
REMAINS SOME UNCERTAINTY AS TO THE EXACT PLACEMENT OF THIS BAND OF
